Colossians 4:2-18 Sermon

In Colossians 4:4, Paul asks for prayer for God to provide opportunities to “declare the mystery of Christ” and “that I may make it clear.” Making it clear is to present the gospel as it is. In encouraging us to press on in mission, Bob reminded us to be careful not to add anything to the gospel when we witness to it. There are only a few elements of truth that someone must accept to receive saving faith - may we not “adulterate” the gospel of Jesus Christ by adding anything to it - even principles and morals of the Christian life… they are not themselves part of the gospel itself.
