SURPRISING GENEROSITY AT OMPC

GIVING FUNDS EXPLANATION:

  • General Fund: Our General Fund covers all OMPC ministry, staff, and facilities/administration expenses. It also covers the financial partnership of our US Ministry Partners. General Fund is the account to which OMPC Members can give their general tithe.

  • Faith Promise / Global Missions Fund: Faith Promise is what we call our Global Missions Fund. It is called Faith Promise because it is an act in which we encourage all OMPC members to give, by faith, above and beyond the general tithe toward God’s work in missions around the world. Click Here to learn more about Faith Promise. Our Faith Promise Pledge Sunday is the second of our Global Missions Sundays, which is the first Sunday of March each year.

  • Here and Now / Building Fund: Funds donated to this account are used exclusively to reduce the principal balance on our building loan. Back in 2013, our church was led through a payoff initiative where we encouraged our congregation to give toward our “Here and Now” (building debt) so that we would have more funds in the General Fund to give toward God’s work “here and now” in our neighborhood, city and nation!

  • Mercy Fund: The Mercy fund is just that - a fund where you can give directly to mercy in and through OMPC. Our Mercy Fund supports OMPC members and the surrounding community in times of need. We specifically take up a mercy offering on Communion Sundays, Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve (called “No Room in the Inn” - see below!).

  • Additional Accounts: Throughout the year, there are additional accounts created for the purpose of supporting various missions projects/teams/trips and church-wide initiatives. These account names vary depending on the need to which people are giving!

What is Planning Center?

Planning Center is the church database for OMPC that houses our member profiles, all registration forms and links, Sunday morning check-ins, the church calendar…it basically serves as the hub of all operations at OMPC! Because each member and registered visitor at OMPC is in the database, our transition to Planning Center Giving is just one streamlined step to connect each individual/household’s giving with their pre-existing profile.

Setting Up Giving Through Planning Center

Click the Give link below to access Church Center, the hub for OMPC’s database and your point of connection to your profile at the church. If this is your first time connecting to Church Center, you will be prompted to enter your phone number to log in to your profile at OMPC.

After you are logged in to your profile within Church Center, initiate your first gift, and you will be walked through the steps to set up your bank and/or credit/debit cards to connect to your Church Center Profile.

Recurring Giving

If you are a recurring donor through our former giving platform (Subsplash), please contact Jessica Hale to cancel your current gift. You will receive a confirmation email once she has canceled your recurring gift in Subsplash. Once you do, take a moment to set up your recurring gift in Planning Center Giving!
Note: If you plan to give to multiple accounts (General Fund, Faith Promise, etc.), you will need to set up a separate recurring gift for each account.
