The mission of Oak Kids is to partner with parents to engage every child with the surprising power of grace.

Oak Kids Sunday Mornings

    • K5 - 6th graders will worship with their parents. 

    • Children’s bulletins available for children ages K5 - 2nd grade (pick up at Sanctuary center entrance)

    • Oak Kids Sermon Notebooks for children ages 3rd - 6th grade (available in the Children’s Check-In Lobby)

    • K5 - 2nd graders are invited to come to Kid’s Worship in the Gym. Kids are dismissed before the sermon to learn the same passage of scripture taught in the Sanctuary. Pick up is in the Gym following the conclusion of the service.

    • 3rd - 6th graders worship with their parents in the Sanctuary. Pick up an Oak Kids Sermon Notebook available in the Children’s Check-In Lobby for your child to use during worship.

  • The 9:30 am hour is discipleship for kids of all ages!

  • Check in at the Gym Lobby. Available for 8:15, 9:30 & 10:45 am services/discipleship.

Oak Kids Sunday Evenings

  • Kids Choir meets Sundays before the R.O.C.K. for rising 1st-6th grades.

    Children are to be checked in by an adult for Sunday Evening activities before heading to choir.

  • The R.O.C.K. stands for “rotation of Christ’s kids.” This Sunday evening curriculum is for 1st-4th grade children from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.

    Nursery and Preschool children’s programming is also provided.

    Our 5th & 6th grades meet in Modular Building 1 for Crossroads Sunday Evenings during this time.

    Drop-off for all programs begins at 5:15 pm and pick-up is at 7:00 pm. Pizza dinner is provided!

  • Crossroads is Oak Kids’ ministry to 5th & 6th graders at OMPC, bridging the gap between Elementary and Youth House Discipleship. In the Fall and Spring, Crossroads gathers for Sunday morning discipleship and Sunday evenings during the R.O.C.K., with additional monthly events!

  • Mustard Seeds provides a loving and supportive environment through individual, well-instructed buddies for each child impacted by a special need. Mustard Seeds is offered all morning on Sundays as well as during the R.O.C.K. on Sunday evenings in the Fall and Spring.

  • Welcome to the Clubhouse! This is our Drop-in Childcare ministry of OMPC. Each day of childcare offers intentionality with lessons, activities and care for nursery through preschool-aged children. While we want to provide our families with excellent childcare, we also strive to point them to Christ and learn more about the world He has created!

    Clubhouse is for children six weeks through rising Kindergarten. Operating hours are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Early drop off is available at 8:00 am upon request for a fee of $5.00 per child.

    Fees: 1 Child: $25/day; 2 Children: $35/day; 3 or more Children: $40/day

    Payment is due upon registration.

  • Treehouse Early Learning Center Program Overview

    • 1 - 5 year olds

    • Monday - Friday classes (two-day, three-day, four-day and five-day options)

    • 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

    • Fall and Spring semesters (Registration for new school year opens February 1!)

    Treehouse Early Learning Center at OMPC serves families as a quality, Gospel-centered preschool program. The curriculum promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth. Children in 3 and 4-year old classes are taught educational elements to prepare them for Kindergarten.

Serve with Oak Kids

Be a Seed Planter! Invest in the lives of our children on Sunday mornings and evenings on a regular basis throughout the year.

Serve Team: Serve on the Oak Kids Serve Team once/quarter (or more!) in our Nursery and Preschool Classrooms and for Oak Kids special events throughout the year.

Mustard Seeds Buddies: Serve as a Seed Planter with Mustard Seeds on Sunday mornings and/or evenings as a buddy to one of our Mustard Seeds children.

  • As a member of the denomination of the Presbyterian Church of America, we believe in sacrament of Covenant Baptism. This is the baptism of believers who have never been baptized in the past and the baptism of the children of believers as covenant children.   • The Oak Kids Communicants class is for children in 4th-6th grades whose parents are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. The curriculum provides foundational teaching to help children learn gospel theology and prepare for church membership. This 11-week class takes place during the Fall & Spring semesters (9:30-10:30 am) and concludes with an interview for the communicant child with elders and women shepherds.
