Day One: Grace Driven
Romans 8:26 is the catalyst for our prayer time during this year’s Week of Prayer. This verse calls us to humbly embrace our weakness and at the same time to hope in God’s powerful provision.
Each day’s prompts for prayer will flow out of our 3 Core Values at OMPC: Grace Driven, Relationally Authentic and Kingdom Oriented.
Today, we are highlighting our value of being Grace Driven.
Pray that we will cherish the gracious gift of God’s unconditional love through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. Consider that, for his own glory (Eph. 1:6), God has forever united us to himself (Eph. 1:3), has given us a family to belong to (Rom. 1:6), has given us every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3), has chosen us from before the foundation of the world (Eph. 1:4), has granted us access to his throne of grace (Heb. 4:16), has forgiven us and made us alive eternally (Eph. 2:4-5).
Pray that we will also cherish the giver of that gift. To be grace driven means a celebration of the gift but also a humble worship that there is no God like our God. In prayer, enjoy God himself and be humbled that a Holy God is “our Father.” (Mt. 6:9) Even though our prayers can be distracted or mind-wandering he delights to hear them! (Ps. 17:6, Rom. 8:15, 26).
We also encourage you to utilize our Discipleship Hour of Prayer Guide for Ministry Prayers.
