Rev. Victor Nakah

Serving in South Africa

Victor and Nosizo are Zimbabwean citizens but live in Johannesburg, South Africa. They met while at university and were richly impacted by the ministries of Scripture Union and the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. Victor later served with both organizations for several years and was instrumental in establishing campus ministry in colleges and universities in the southern part of Zimbabwe.

They have two adult daughters, one married, and two adorable grandsons. Victor is a teaching elder in the Bulawayo Presbytery in Zimbabwe. Nosizo is currently doing biblical counseling training with Christian Counseling and Education Foundation.

Victor has served in various church and church-related organizations over the last 25 years. His most recent position was with CURE International, where he served as the senior vice president for spiritual ministry.

In addition to his primary ministry responsibilities as the MTW international director for sub-Saharan Africa, Victor supervises M.Th. and Ph.D. students at the South Africa Theological Seminary, teaches a course once a year at Africa Reformed Theological Seminary in Uganda, and is the co-chair of the Lausanne Theology Working Group.

Global Missions at OMPC

  • OMPC’s Global Ministry Partner focus is to join alongside the Lord’s holistic church planting work around the world. While nonbelievers do need to hear & understand the Gospel, be discipled and ultimately be baptized, there is also a work that needs to be done to raise up churches to continue on this mission work among their local people groups.

We long to follow Jesus’ call to see people saved, discipled into Bible-believing churches and then begin witnessing to and discipling others, who are also ministering to the least and lost around them — multiplying disciples and churches.

This is holistic church planting multiplication!

  • OMPC supports over 50 global ministry partners in nearly 30 countries. Due to the sensitivity of many of our Global Ministry Partners names and locations, we do not publish that information online.

However, you can pray for our ministry partners by name and specific prayer request through our annual Prayer Guides. Pick one up before or after worship this Sunday!

FAITH PROMISE SUNDAY | March 2

What is Faith Promise?

Faith Promise is an agreement between you and God. It is a promise that, as God enables, you will give a certain amount toward “Faith Promise” (Global Missions at OMPC) above and beyond your tithe.

Our Faith Promise funds go toward supporting our Global Ministry Partners around the world. During each year’s Global Missions Conference, we share of many ways God is working in and through our Global Ministry partners, made possible by OMPC’s generous Faith Promise giving. On the final Sunday of the conference, we focus on the impact of Faith Promise and encourage the congregation to commit to giving toward Faith Promise through OMPC in the upcoming year. WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

75% - Ongoing Ministry Partner Support

75% of our Faith Promise budget goes toward ongoing support of our global ministry partners. This also includes one-time gifts or extra support needed for a variety of situations, such as unexpected medical treatment, emergency travel expenses

25% - Partner Care & Mobilization

Partner Care & Mobilization is critical to raising up missionaries, keeping our congregation engaged, and providing the spiritual and emotional support required for partners to have longevity on the field. This also goes toward our short-term trip efforts, which incorporate both outreach and service as well as ministry partner care.

GIVING NOTE: The link above will take you to OMPC’s Giving Page through Church Center. Be sure to select FAITH PROMISE / GLOBAL MISSIONS FUND in the drop down menu when you are giving to Faith Promise!
