Sunday Morning Discipleship Classes

Adult Age & Stage Classes

  • Beginning January 19, 2025

Prayer is central to the Christian life and central to the invitation of relationship with Jesus. Yet, prayer can be hard! Prayer can be frustrating! Prayer can be the thing that gets put on the back burner.

Join the College Adult Discipleship Classl this Spring as we seek to recover the goodness and richness of prayer - that we might become a praying people.

  • A Counter-Cultural People for a Counter-Cultural Kingdom

Jesus's Sermon on the Mount invites believers to life in a radically different kingdom with kingdom ethics that cut against the grain of our day and age. Yet, as Jesus teaches, He is doing so to show us a better way - better, sweeter, and more worthwhile than the Kingdom of this world and the ethic it offers. Join the 20s this Spring as we explore the counter-cultural teachings of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount so that we might become a counter-cultural people.

  • First Half of Semester: Emotionally Healthy Relationships
The relationships in our lives have great power in our lives - power to build us up, point us to Jesus, and encourage us to more; but also power to tear down, pull us away from Jesus, and hurt and wound. The good news is that the Gospel has a lot to say about what healthy relationships could look like. Join the Young Professionals 30’s as we dig into Emotionally Healthy Relationships by Peter and Geri Scazzero.

Second Half of Semester: Contentment in a Discontented World
Did I miss something? How do I trust God where He has me? These are questions that bubble up when we feel the rub between where we are and where we want to be. Left unchecked, these questions can lead to frustration, angst, and even bitterness towards God and others. In the midst of those questions, we have a loving Heavenly Father who meets us in those places. Join the Young Professionals 30’s this Spring to dig into how God leads us to contentment in a discontented world.

  • Hot Topics, Chad Walker & Tom Patton

This season of life is not without landmines and obstacles.  Issues, decisions, and relationships become more complex, all while demands and stressors multiply. It may be difficult to find time or wisdom to navigate many of the things thrown at us.  Join us as we look at some of the stickier issues we face during this season of life.

  • Dependence in Prayer, Nathan Kirkpatrick
